FAQ

Why the name Varemessen™?

The name "Varemessen™" traces back to our founding in 1935 when it was a common and fitting title for our establishment. At that time, it was customary to use terms like "trade fair" to describe places or events where a wide array of goods were exhibited and sold.

Although times have changed and the commercial landscape has evolved, it still makes sense to refer to a clothing store as "Varemessen™" for several reasons:

  1. Historical Context: The name "Varemessen™" carries a deep historical legacy dating back to our inception in 1935. Preserving this name maintains our connection to the company's roots and heritage.
  2. Flexibility and Range: "Varemessen™" is a broad and adaptable name, allowing us not only to offer clothing but also to expand our range to other categories of goods if relevant. It reflects our ability to adapt and continue providing a diverse range of products to our customers.
  3. Customer Understanding: The name "Varemessen™" remains understandable and recognizable to our customers. It indicates that we are a place where they can find a varied selection of products, including clothing, to choose from.

In essence, the name "Varemessen™" continues to be relevant and meaningful for our business today by maintaining our historical connection while reflecting our ability to offer a wide range of goods to our customers.

Is it possible that the colors of your products may vary depending on my screen settings?

The colors of our products may vary slightly depending on your monitor settings. This means that what you see on your device may not be exactly the same as what you see in reality. For the best viewing experience, we recommend using a full Retina 4K display or an equivalent high-resolution display. In this way, you can enjoy our products in all their splendor and get a more realistic feeling of the colors.

Why do I see prices such as "36 €" instead of round amounts like "40 €"?

Our pricing is dynamic and updated hour by hour in line with our production cycle. This allows us to constantly offer the most competitive prices. When you see a price like "36 €," it's due to a precise adjustment that gives you an advantage by avoiding traditional rounding. In this example, you actually save 4 €, and this is part of our commitment to deliver the best possible value to our customers.

What types of fabric do you have?

Polyester is a synthetic fabric known for its durability and resistance to creasing and shrinking. It has good color fastness and is easy to care for, as it dries quickly after washing. It may feel smooth and light on the skin, but may not allow as much breathability as natural fibers.

Viscose , also known as rayon, is a semi-synthetic fiber that often mimics the look and feel of natural fibers such as cotton and silk. It is light, soft and has good breathability. However, viscose can be prone to shrinkage and may require careful handling during washing.

Elastane , also known as spandex or Lycra, is an elastic fiber used to provide stretch and flexibility to clothing. It allows the garment to move with the body and returns to its original shape after stretching. It is often used in combination with other fibers to create clothing that is comfortable and fits well.

Nylon is a synthetic fiber known for its strength and durability. It is light, durable and dries quickly. Nylon is often used for sportswear and underwear due to its moisture-wicking properties. It may be less breathable compared to some natural fibers.

Wool is a natural fiber derived from sheep and other animals. It is known for its insulating ability that keeps the heat close to the body. Wool can be breathable and moisture repellent, making it suitable for both hot and cold weather conditions. However, it may require special care and careful washing to avoid shrinkage.

Acrylic is a synthetic fiber that is often used as a cheaper substitute for wool. It is light, soft and colourfast, and generally requires less maintenance than natural fibres. However, it can be less thermally insulating than wool and can become static electricity.
